Haftom adds brand new flavours to Ethiopian music by bridging different Tigrinya styles. “Hilfe” represents the soft-spoken Haftom’s vision of how dynamic Ethiopian music is and the prospects offered for the future. Released recently in Makele, the title track “Hilfe” and the obvious hit “Kolahta” are quickly becoming fan favorites. Fans will also love dancing to “Des Yibleni” and “Tetahise” and the Ladies should watch out because “Teredeley” will definitely steal hearts. Even before the release, Haftom had begun making tour plans like fellow Studio artist Ephrem. He is very eager to share his music with others and although he sings in Tigrinya, Haftom believes his message is universal. Haftom is also very committed to showmanship and has incorporated new sounds, styles, ideas and instruments into his music so that his concerts and performances will keep fans pleased and entertained. Haftom looks to tour in September-October in time for the Meskerem season but is also available by request.
